Eligibility Criteria:

The applicant must:

  1. Hold a valid membership at the Lebanese Cultural Club for the current year at the University of Ottawa.
  2. Be a full-time student at the University of Ottawa.
  3. Have a minimum CGPA of 6.0.
  4. Demonstrate financial need, as determined by the Financial Aid and Awards Service.
  5. Contribute actively to the Lebanese community.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE

Application must be made to the Director of Financial Aid and Awards Service and should include:

  1. A completed application form, available at the Financial Aid and Awards Service office or online at www.uOttawa.ca/loansandawards.
  2. A copy of applicant’s academic transcript.
  3. A short essay (250-500 words) from the applicant describing his or her involvement in the Lebanese community and why they feel they deserve the award.

Note: Each person will provide an alias to avoid any bias that can be associated with the application. This is also to reinforce the mandate of the Lebanese Cultural Club as solely cultural with avoidance of political and religious biases.
