The Lebanese Cultural Club (LCC) is an academic, socio-cultural student organization recognized and subsidized by the Student Federation of the University of Ottawa (SFUO). The LCC is a non-profit, non-religious and non-political club that seeks:
- The cultivation of intellectual dialogues between the various Lebanese groups.
- The advancement and scientific understanding of the Lebanese culture in all its aspects.
- The Strong cooperation among Lebanese students and students from other foreign cultures.
Our Objectives:
The Lebanese Cultural Club aims to promote Lebanese culture and Heritage in the university and the community. The LCC's motivation is based on the following objectives:
- Create an atmosphere of solidarity, and mutual aid between members of the Lebanese community with no discrimination.
- Encourage multi-cultural activities on and off-campus.
- Maintain solid and fruitful bonds with the Student Federation (SFUO) and the International House and other clubs/associations at the University and within the community.
- Contribute to the success of International Week” at the University of Ottawa by organizing and hosting the club’s traditional event LEBANON EXHIBIT.
Memberships:
Is eligible for membership within the Lebanese Cultural Club:
- Any student of the University of Ottawa who agrees with the club’s goals and objectives provided he/she pays the membership fees.
- Any person from the Canadian community willing to participate in the club’s activities and learn about the Lebanese culture and who shares the common goals of openness, tolerance and acceptance of others.
